LRN DIP Service
LRN Lookup Service
Location routing number (LRN) is required to ensure the phone call reaches the proper owner of the phone number. This local routing number dip service helps to provide proper terminating telephone number ownership and real time cost control. There are multiple ways to obtain the LRN.
Normally, a dip via the SS7 network will cost you a substantial investment. We remove this requirement and allow service providers the ability to dip via SIP, ENUM or web service.
By using our LRN DIP Service you will:
- Avoid a large network investment.
- Save up to 30% on traditional LNP dips
- More accurately route your calls to the correct destination and rate.
- Leverage your existing SIP or other data call infrastructure.
Local number portability (LNP) is used to ensure your customers can keep their phone number when switching service providers—avoiding any confusion. This was government mandated by the Telecommunications Act of 1996, which allowed any carrier to enter a local market. LNP is technically impossible without the Location Routing Number (LRN) assigned to the ported number.
